Robert Fitzgerald

Robert was married to his wife, Vicki in 1986, and they have 7 children. He is an attorney by profession, licensed in the State of Texas since November, 1986. His practice is primarily concentrated in commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction and surety law. He received his undergraduate degree in economics/business from Hendrix College, Conway, AR in 1981 (B.A., with distinction) and his juris doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, AR in 1985.

Robert received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 1991 and was thereafter baptized upon profession of faith in Him at Community Bible Chapel, located in Richardson, TX. Through reading and studying the Scriptures and various works, including several by Dr. R. C. Sproul, God brought him to a firm conviction of the truth of the doctrines of His sovereign grace in the mid-90’s. Moreover, through continued reading and study of the Scriptures and several reformation theologians, including many Puritans, Robert became further convicted of the truth of the reformed Baptist view of the Scriptures, God, sin, salvation, sanctification, the covenants, worship, evangelism and ecclesiology, as best summarized in the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. In 2005, Robert adopted this Confession as that to which he holds firmly and continues such adoption to this day.

Robert was part of the initial membership of Grace Baptist Church in May, 2005. He was nominated and voted in by the body as a deacon in 2005. In 2013, Robert was nominated and voted in by the body as the second elder of Grace Baptist Church, in which he continues to this day.
